![]() ![]() I would have liked this drink to have a little more kick, but it was soooo good! I really like that they infused strawberries in it, too! I'm going to have to try that at home! The Lemon Drop was very tasty, especially because you can taste the fresh-squeezed lemon juice! It's made with Citrus Vodka, simple syrup, fresh lemon juice in a glass with a sugared rim. I like Jalapeno-infused Tequila and make it myself. The Elevated Margarita was my favorite because it's made with Tequila infused with Strawberries and Jalapenos, Triple Sec and their House-Made Sweet & Sour Mix. ![]() The Mex-a-Tini has Orange Infused Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, and their House-Made Sour Mix. My husband loves Lemon Drops so he imbibed on a couple of these. I ordered the Silo Infused Mex-a-Tini and then the Elevated Margarita. We learned that they make their own sour mix and even infuse some of their own liquors. Our bartender Mykalyn was so helpful, friendly and attentive. Only one other patron at the bar and a HH party of about 12 ladies in the area near the door. Wowza!! Great service, great atmosphere, great drinks, great food, great HH prices!! The bar is so very cool lit up with pink lights. Since we came to this area particularly to try Silo, we window-shopped until we could "Happy Hour". We took the elevator upstairs to the restaurant (which didn't open until 5:30), and a nice man helped us and escorted us downstairs to the bar only to find out that it was indeed closed for repairs, but that they were going to open at 5:00pm. Happy Hour is a very generous 5 hours (from 4-9pm) and we showed up at 4:00, but we were very confused because the bar (which is located downstairs) was locked and had a lot of construction going on. I recently read an article in the SA Current listing Silo as a great place for Happy Hour, so we decided to try it out on a Thursday night. ![]() What a great place!! My husband and I have wanted to try this restaurant for quite a while. The Bluefeld reisling was a nice wine paring. He said the duck was perfectly cooked with a very good blueberry glaze/sauce instead of the usual boring orange glaze. My husband got the 5 Spice Duck which was not on the Prix Fixe menu for $31 then the Caesar salad was $8 and the Toasted Coconut Pie which was very average tasting was a bit pricy at $9 for a small slice. The Prix Fixe meal was $29 then another $3 if you wanted both salad and dessert otherwise its just entrée and salad or dessert. I would not have been happy if I had paid $9 for it. The Crème Brulee was good but a very small portion. Grits could have been a little more and creamier. It was not the best Shrimp and Grits I have had but it was good. The Shrimp and grits had little bits of Andouille sausage with added lots of flavor. I went the Prix Fixe route and got the Caesar Salad ( crisp lettuce with lots of dressing which I like plus a very yummy parmesan tuille on top), the Shrimp and Grits and the Vanilla Crème Brulee. Waitress very knowledgeable and friendly. But once we were seated everything went smoothly. There was one other couple already seated so it just felt like a ploy to get us to spend more money in the bar. We made reservations for 6pm and showed up 5 minutes early, the one receptionist started to tell us our table wasn't ready and to have a seat at the bar but luckily the other girl quickly said "Your table is ready".
